About Amelia Cavallo

Amelia Cavallo is a US-born actor and singer who lives and works in London. Her professional interests include musical theatre, singing/songwriting, operatic performance, workshop facilitation for drama and music, and the role of disabled actors on the stage.

Education

After five years of focused study, Amelia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Arts degree [emphasis in Theatre] with summa cum laude distinction from the University of New Mexico. Throughout her university study, Amelia split her time between full-time class enrollment, professional shows, and singing/songwriting. Her educational pursuits included a year abroad studying Drama at the University of East Anglia in Norwich, UK where she had the opportunity to expand her knowledge of classical acting and accents.

During her last semester at the University of New Mexico, Amelia returned to the UK to audition for a place in the Musical Theatre MA program at the Central School of Speech and Drama (CSSD), University of London. Founded in 1906, CSSD offers unparalleled training in theatre and is home to such distinguished alumni as Dame Judi Dench and Sir Laurence Oliver.

Amelia was offered a place in the course and commenced study at CSSD in August 2006. She graduated in 2007 with distinction and now uses her education and experience to pursue theatre and music in London, both as a performer and as a teacher.

Amelia is also currently a student at the Pineapple Dance Studios in Covent Garden where she furthers her skill of jazz, tap, ballet, and modern dance.

Amelia is an accomplished actor, singer/songwriter, dancer, and performer. Her many skills include:
